This is the website for Los Angeles/Ventura County (California) regional contest of the annual International Bridge Building Contest.

This year our regional contest has be held at Laguna Blanca school, Santa Barbara, CA on April 28, 2022. Congratulations to the winner, Charlie Sheldon! He is going to represent our region to compete at the International Bridge Building Contest held in Covington Township, Pennsylvania on Saturday, May 07, 2022.

Here on this website, we offer chances to sign up for the regional contest, as well as any information needed to succeed in the contest.

As a high school student, winning a regional bridge building contest will have a great advantage on college application. we encourage any high school students, who have any interests in bridge building, to take part in this contest.

Our regional contest rules and bridge specifications are the same as the international ones. See details here. If you need any instructional sessions close to where you are in order to get better acclimated with the specifications and rules of the contest, please let us know ASAP.

This year we will have several instructional sessions. So far, we have given instructional sessions in Simi Valley and Santa Barbara. Our next session will be held at 10:00 am, 2/9, Saturday at Crowell Public Library in San Marino and at 12:00 pm, 2/10, Sunday at Thousand Oaks Public Library in Thousand Oaks.

If you would like to attend the 2019 LA-Ventura CA Bridge Building Contest, and are deemed eligible according to the following qualifications, click here to register first.

Qualifications:

If you are a middle school student and want to participate in our regional contest, you are welcome. However, in case of winning the first top two in our contest, you are not able to represent our region to compete at the international contest. Next high school student in winning order will be our regional representative.
